Bereavement & Loss
There are many stages to the grieving process. Feelings may include shock, numbness, anger, guilt and depression. Bereavement is not restricted to losing someone close to you, but may involve:
A break up of a relationship
Loss of health
Sudden adverse changes in circumstances
Counselling can help clients to explore their feelings in a safe environment in which they can hopefully come to terms with their loss in order to move forward to a more fulfilling and effective way of life, particularly if their own support network is lacking in some way.
